CBI Annual Conference
iBby Ireland is delighted that the German illustrator and film-maker, Jutta Bauer, will be the organisation's guest speaker, in partnership with the Goethe Institut, at the 2012 CBI Annual Conference over 19th-20th May. The conference, entitled Weaving a Shared Story, takes place at the National Library of Ireland, Kildare Street, and is a weekend-long celebration of the very best in books for young people from home and abroad.
IBBY Announces the Winners of the 2012 Hans Christian Andersen Award
The Hans Christian Andersen Award Jury of the international Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) has announced that María Teresa Andruetto from Argentina is the winner of the 2012 Hans Christian Andersen Author Award and Peter Sís from the Czech Republic is the winner of the 2012 Hans Christian Andersen Illustrator Award.The Andersen medals and diplomas will be presented to the winners at the international IBBY congress in London, United Kingdom on Saturday, 25 August 2012.
